US to spend $200 million a day on Obama's Mumbai visit

US would be spending a whopping USD 200 million (Rs 900 crore approx) per day on US President Barack Obama's visit to Mumbai.

The huge amount of around $200 million would be spent on security, stay and other aspects of the Obamas's visit.

About 3,000 people including Secret Service agents, US government officials and journalists would accompany the US President Obama. Several officials from the White House and US security agencies are already in Mumbai for the past one week with helicopters, a ship and high-end security instruments.

Mumbai police have given assurances that during US President Barack Obama’s visit to the city, Mumbaikars will not be barred from accessing the roads used by his motorcade.

Obama supporters can say this amount is insignificant by comparing with $255 Million per day expense in Iraq.

I think US is spending this much amount of money by hoping to get some gain in some way. If you know more details about how US will get benefit from Obama's India visit, you can explain it thro' comments.

And, I am not sure how much India is going to spend for Obama's India vist.
If anyone knows the details about India's spending on Obama visit, you can share the details thro' the comments.
