Birthday of Isaac Newton: Apple falls on Google Homepage

Google is celebrating birthday of Sir Isaac Newton (1642-1727)by showing falling apple on Google home page

Google used to show Doodle for representing special days and birthdays of scientists.

Since "falling of apple" inspired Newton to find about the gravity of earth, Google has selected this Doodle for representing his Birthday.

I think first time Google Doodle is seeing animation (falling apple).
It seems the "falling apple" is getting displayed using javascript itself.

This animated apple is not getting shown in the Doodle list which is created from RSS feed of Doodles. It just shows the static part of the Doodle.

You can share your comments thro' comments section if you know anything more about javascript used in this "falling apple" Doodle.

If you are not able to see the "falling apple" in your Google homepage, you can watch the below video.

It seems Newton's actual birthday comes on December 25. You can refer this article.

You can see this YouTube video to know more about Newton.

Find below the Newton's 3 laws about motion

* Newton’s First Law states that an object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion tends to stay in motion unless acted upon by an external force.
* Newton’s Second Law states that an applied force on an object equals the rate of change of its momentum with time.
* Newton’s Third Law states that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

If you want to learn more about Newton's 3 laws of motion, you can watch this video.

Is the Newton-and-the-apple story true? Does anybody really understand the Principia? Was Newton a nice guy?

To know answer for these questions you can read the interview of Dr. Jed Buchwald, an historian of physics and professor of history at the California Institute of Technology

Newton has invented many different things in different fields such as Mathematics, Theology and Alchemy, Mechanics and Gravitation and Optics.
